GMI's Quality

Quality at GMI is every employee's responsibility. Considering the many critical systems that rely on our parts to perform without failure, quality assurance is never compromised.

Our Quality Department is staffed and equipped to perform a variety of test functions on site: Full range of mechanical dimensional checking, teat treat hardness, surface roughness, involutes and lead, spacing and pitch error, nital etch, voltage and amperage testing after final assembly, total composite and tooth-to-tooth composite, and many more along with tight tolerance calibration standards.

GMI's Quality Assurance Personnel monitor the entire manufacturing cycle by performing in-process inspections and material audits regularly. Detailed records of all process from start to finish are recorded and maintained on file.

GMI is certified and registered to ISO9001:2000 and AS9100 Rev B in accordance with the requirements of AS9104A.

All equipment is maintained to NIST Standards and all documentation is retained on file.

Total Quality Management Initiatives include continuous improvement, statistical process control, just-in-time production, cellular processing, and lean manufacturing.
